Work: MacArthur Drive Corridor
The reconstruction of a twelve-mile stretch of MacArthur Drive is a remarkable opportunity to re-stitch the commercial and community fabric of the most highly trafficked gateway into the City of Alexandria, Louisiana.
The project was a catalyst for redevelopment of the surrounding business and residential communities and was an opportunity to take a master planning vision straight to construction documentation and construction.
The MacArthur Drive project was guided by the vision of the Mayor Jacques Roy administration and their planning principle called S.P.A.R.C (Special Planned Activity Redevelopment Corridors). S.P.A.R.C is a visionary citywide infrastructure reinvestment project that recognizes that strategic investment in key transportation corridors can attract and retain a modern workforce, and can also combat poverty, unemployment, and blight.
Services procided include: strategic vision planning, urban infastructure design, community outreach, traffic engineering, landscape design, lighting design, urban furniture, streetscape sustainability guidelines, and construction documentation.
